Ribstone Creek Brewery prepares to launch IPA with kick

EDGERTON, Alta. — Ribstone Creek Brewery is preparing to unveil a new beer that promises to satisfy those thirsty for something with a bit more kick than your average brew.

Ribstone Creek staff have attended several beer shows and festivals over the past year and on several occasions beer fans have asked about the possibility of Ribstone Creek crafting its own Indian Pale Ale.

This month, Ribstone Creek brewmaster Anthony Richardson is pleased to introduce Buckin' Bronco — an unfiltered 7.5 per cent IPA.

“As a brewery based in small-town Alberta, we need to take the opportunity to show folks at the city beer shows that we are capable of producing something special.” said Richardson.

Ribstone Creek president Don Paré said the team is confident Buckin' Bronco will satisfy beer connoisseurs and casual beer drinkers alike.

“What better way to break in the new brewhouse than by producing a new beer?” said Paré. “With a 7.5 per cent alcohol content, we believe our Buckin' Bronco IPA has some serious kick.”

Paré also says producing small batches of 'limited-time' beers allows the brewmaster to have some fun experimenting with seasonal brews and other 'one offs' going forward.

Tasting notes:This IPA by Ribstone Creek pours into the glass with bright straw color and a frothy white head. The aroma is dominated by an arrangement of enjoyable flora scents. The first taste offers a slightly sweet flavour with a hint of pine accompanied by a smooth bitterness that delightfully lingers through until the end of the pint. As an unfiltered, 7.5 per cent beer, Buckin' Bronco IPA certainly provides bold, quality, all-natural IPA flavour.
