EDGERTON, AB – Alberta beer fans have a big thirst for craft IPAs and Ribstone Creek’s Lone Bison is hitting the spot.
Lone Bison is an unfiltered, 6.5 per cent IPA that comes with a citrus and pine note, blended with a pronounced hoppy flavour. Lone Bison comes in at 70 IBUs and has proven popular through direct growler sales at the Ribstone Creek Brewery and in several Edmonton pubs.
“The reception has been amazing, especially at bars and pubs with a ‘hophead’ following,” said David Helm, Ribstone’s Alberta Sales Manager. “There is massive demand for IPAs right now and unfiltered IPAs like Lone Bison are underrepresented in the Alberta market.”
Mark Boulter, Ribstone’s Director of Marketing, says vendor feedback and online reviews suggest that Lone Bison is becoming Ribstone’s latest hit.
“We are blown away with the response to the first small batch,” said Boulter. “Many of our clients and beer fans have asked us to make it a mainstay.
“We are in the process of finalizing a can design and hope to have Lone Bison on store shelves in coming weeks.”
