Rangeland Ale is Ribstone’s newest offering

EDGERTON, Alta. — With another Alberta harvest season wrapping up, Ribstone Creek Brewery is preparing to unveil a new beer that pays homage to the brewery’s Prairie roots.

In mid October, Ribstone Creek will begin kegging its new Rangeland Ale — a delicious, easy-drinking pale ale.

“The demand for us to produce an ale was simply too loud to ignore,” said Ribstone Creek President Don Paré. “While our lager is still a very big seller, Ribstone fans were eager for us to put out something new. We took a look at where consumer tastes are trending lately and a pale ale seemed the natural choice.”

The first batch of Rangeland Ale will be ready for sampling on Oct. 18 and Ribstone Creek plans to officially unveil it to the beer universe during the Rocky Mountain Wine and Food Festival, which takes place in Edmonton on Oct. 25-26.

To promote the new beer, Ribstone will offer $5 growler refills of Rangeland Ale at the brewery for a limited time.

“The beer will have that ‘taste of the Prairies’ that we’ve become known for,” said Ribstone Creek Brewmaster David Beardsell. “When you create a new beer, you’re always a bit nervous about the reception, but we fully expect Rangeland Ale to be another hit.”
